Changing the world, one heart at a time

Ministry Opportunities

Music Ministries
We have an outstanding choir who sings regularly as well as during special services such as Christmas and Easter services.
Additionally, we are currently forming a worship band and team.
We often have special gospel groups in for evening music events.

Children's Ministries
Opportunities to work with children through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Family Sunday Worship, and special events are available to those with a calling to nurture and raise up leaders.
(All children's workers are required to complete Child Protection Training and a background check as well as follow child protection guidelines.)

Blood Drives
We offer you the opportunity to give the gift of life by donating blood at our regular blood drives held at the church.
They are usually held on a Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Watch for the banner out front announcing the next blood drive as well as the website calendar.

From Sunday School to spiritual gifts studies and Bible study, opportunities exist for members to use their gifts of teaching in the church.

Prayer & Intercession
This fall we will begin forming various ministry teams, including one to focus on prayer and intercession for our church, our community, and our world.

Community Building
We offer various opportunities for those with the gift of hospitality to join in building community both within and outside of the church.
We gather together for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. We also observe the Lord's Supper with a Love Feast and Foot Washing Service every spring and fall.  We celebrate believer's baptism by full-immersion.
Watch the main page for coming information on the new fall schedule.
We participate in service projects on a regular basis. The youth frequently serve meals at Wheeler Mission, we actively support Outfitters, and the children prepare boxes for Operation Christmas Child in December. We also support Riverside Christian School in Kentucky, Adventures in Missions, Companeros en Ministerio/Partners in Ministry, Heifer Project International, and other ministries.
Community Events
We strive to be involved in the Summerlake community events as well invite all surrounding communities, including Carefree Homes, to our Family Fall Festival, Vacation Bible School, special music events, festivals, and events.
This year for we will be sponsoring Light the Night and Trunk or Treat, a community based event on the night of trick-or-treating.
Men & Women's Fellowships
Our men's and women's ministries plan meals, spiritual inspiration, support, and fellowship.
Every winter the men hold a Critter Fry where each one provides a dish made from wild game. Menu items have included raccoon, muskrat, goose, deer, and bear.
Cub Scouts
Our church chartered Cub Scout troup  meets on the first and last Tuesdays of the month. Boys in first through fifth grade are welcome to join.

We offer opportunities for those with the gift of administration to serve the church through leadership.
Our structure is such that we encourage team leadership, and final authority rests with the Church Council which is made up of church members.
